![]() ![]() It was the perfect counterpart to the hot and crispy wrap, and I drank every last drop that I could. It was thick and creamy with actual biscoff spread lining the cup, and the flavour of the biscuit all the way through each sip from the straw. This milkshake was not one of those disappointments. Both had clearly been made within the last minute. The food and drink took a little while to arrive, but when it did it was obvious why - the milkshake was beautifully presented and the breakfast wrap was crisp and piping hot. I watched families and pets come and go as the world went by and the sun poked through the clouds, and it felt very much like I was at the beach - even though the sea itself was a little way away. ![]() I gave my name upon paying and went for a bench outside the cafe. Being a Biscoff fan, a Biscoff-flavoured milkshake is what I chose. I also decided to try out one of the Cabin Dairy's famously thick milkshakes as I was in a summery mood. There's just something about having all your favourite full English breakfast items crunched together in one cylinder of greasy goodness. I know I'm not alone in my despair that McDonald's has gotten rid of their breakfast wrap from their menus, so when I saw a large one on the menu here I knew I had to order it. The Cabin Dairy has both indoor and outdoor seating inside its old and quaint premises, but with it being a pleasant day and the fact that I was near the sea, I opted to go outside. So whilst I was exploring Burnham, this felt like the obvious choice for some lunch. Despite hearing lots about the venue, it's never somewhere that I'd actually eaten in. In August last year, the eatery changed hands with new owners taking on the venue after the previous couple decided to move on to pastures new. The Cabin Dairy is a famous cafe at the edge of the quay in Burnham, and the oldest cafe in the town. ![]() I've hopped around a lot of cafes and eateries in Essex so I'm often looking for things that will either be out of the ordinary or harder to find. ![]()
